NATO
NATO is committed to the peaceful resolution of disputes. If diplomatic efforts fail, it has the military power to undertake crisis-management operations.
The most important players in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization are the member countries themselves. As of October 2023, NATO had 31 member countries. These countries, called NATO Allies, are sovereign STATES that come together through NATO to discuss political and security issues and make collective decisions by consensus.
FINLAND became a full member of NATO on 4 April 2023. Swedish officials believe the Nordic country SWEDEN could enter NATO by late November 2023.
The NATO Policy states that “Protection of Civilians (persons, objects and services) includes all efforts taken to avoid, minimize, and mitigate the negative effects on civilians arising from NATO and NATO-led military operations on the CIVILIAN population.

INDIA
RAHUL GANDHI
He is a member of the main opposition party, the Indian National Congress, and was the party president from December 2017 to July 2019.
The Congress under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi severely criticized the Modi led NDA government to be pro-rich where they submit to the demands of the capitalists, industrialists and the Multinational Corporations without paying heed or addressing to the hardships faced by the farmers and the impoverished of the country.
Since 2017, Gandhi has been a strong voice of the opposition against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) under the Prime Ministership of Narendra Modi.
Rahul Gandhi has raised multiple issues where the focus is mainly on the betterment of the deprived sections of society. He has also been instrumental in keeping the ruling party on their toes by severely criticizing the various schemes and policies of the Modi led NDA government.
Rahul Gandhi – former President of the Indian National Congress – was disqualified as a Member of Parliament on March 24, 2023 after a Gujarat court convicted Gandhi and sentenced him to a two-year imprisonment on a petition filed by Purnesh Modi, who claimed that a 2019 comment by the Congress president on the Modi surname had defamed the entire Modi community.
Reiterating his stance that he is not guilty of criminal defamation, Gandhi had submitted that the criminal process is being misused to "arm twist" him into "apologising for no fault" of his.
Back in 2019, on April 13, at a rally in Kolar, Karnataka, during his speech, Rahul Gandhi posed a question to the crowd, “Why do all thieves, be it Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi, or Narendra Modi, have the surname, ‘Modi’?”. Shortly after, Purnesh Modi, a local BJP leader and former Union Minister filed a private complaint before the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Surat, contending that Gandhi had defamed everyone with the surname ‘Modi’.

OPPRESSION AND NEGLECT BY THE STATE:
Rahul Gandhi is meeting poor farmers, coolies and kids. His great grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of independent India and his grandmother Indira Gandhi was the first woman to become the Prime Minister of India. His father Rajiv Gandhi served as the Prime Minister of India from 1984 to 1989. His mother Sonia Gandhi is a senior leader of the Congress party, while his sister Priyanka Gandhi is also active in politics and works with the party.

Oct 15, 2023:
Opposition parties in the state of Odisha, India, including the Congress, will hold protests against the "Anti-People" policies of the State and central governments. The demonstrations will take place in four locations in November, with senior leaders from all 17 parties participating.
Current parties are running 'dictatorship' governments at the state and the Centre. Prices of essential commodities have skyrocketed while the government failed to provide employment to youths as promised earlier.
Atrocities against women have increased in the state and corruption is rampant in execution of welfare schemes.
Protesters burned an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and raised slogans against him. The protest was led by Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Arvinder Singh Lovely.

IMPERIALISM
A true revolutionary is guided
by a great feeling of love.
Above all, always be capable of
feeling deeply any injustice
committed against anyone,
anywhere in the world.
This is the most beautiful quality
in a revolutionary.
– Ernesto Che Guevara
UNITED NATIONS, N. Y., Dec. 11 — Maj. Ernesto Che Guevara, a top lieutenant of Premier Fidel Castro, charged in the General Assembly today that the United States, helped by Latin neighbors, was preparing aggression against Cuba.
The charge was promptly rejected by the accused Central American nations and by Adlai E. Stevenson of the United States.
“We are taking every step necessary,” Mr. Stevenson said, “to insure that raids are not launched, manned or equipped from United States territory.”
As Major Guevara spoke, windows in the Secretariat skyscraper on the East River were shaken by the explosion of a rocket‐launcher shell believed to have been set off by Cuban exiles.

December 11, 1964, 19th General Assembly of the United Nations in New York:
Those who kill their own children and discriminate daily against them because of the color of their skin; those who let the murderers of blacks remain free, protecting them, and furthermore punishing the black population because they demand their legitimate rights as free men — how can those who do this consider themselves guardians of freedom?

WW3
And here we are. October 24 2023 and there are many WARS raging in the world of NATIONS. Of States. Of countries. All these straight and jagged lines on the map of our world. Drawn by old men seeking power and domination. It has to stop now.
As of today, 39 percent of the world’s people live in countries rated Not Free, while only 20 percent live in Free countries.
The biggest drivers of democratic decline over the last 17 years has been a trend of attacks on freedom of expression. Media freedom came under pressure in at least 157 countries and territories during 2022. Individuals’ right to personal expression has also come under assault. People in many countries have virtually no freedom to voice anti-government opinions, even in private, without fear of being jailed or killed by their own government.
Ordinary people around the world, including in oppressive countries like Iran, China, and Cuba, continue to defend their rights against authoritarian rule.
THERE IS A WAR ON FREEDOM & LOVE

ICELAND
PROTESTS IN ICELAND OCTOBER 24
"We have not yet reached our goals of full gender equality and we are still tackling the gender-based wage gap, which is unacceptable in 2023," Jakobsdóttir told a local news outlet ahead of the protest. “I will not work this day, as I expect all the women [in cabinet] will do as well.”
The strike is a nod to Oct. 24, 1975, when 90% of women in Iceland took a day off from work and domestic duties. The national strike ultimately led to historic changes that advanced gender parity, including prompting parliament to pass an equal pay law the following year.
In 1980, Iceland also became the first country in the world to elect a female as head of state.
Those protesting TODAY, say that Iceland, despite ranking first in the world for gender equality by the World Economic Forum for the last 14 years, has consistently undervalued and underpaid women in traditionally female-dominated jobs like cleaning, childcare, and caregiving.
"Systemic wage discrimination still affects women, and gender-based violence is a pandemic that must be eradicated."

ANGELINA
After 20 years working within the UN system I feel it is time for me to work differently, engaging directly with refugees and local organisations, and supporting their advocacy for solutions”.
After more than 20 years of dedicated and committed work with the UN Refugee Agency advocating for the rights and protection of forcibly displaced people around the world, Angelina Jolie is moving on from her role as UNHCR’s Special Envoy to engage on a broader set of humanitarian and human rights issues.
One of the most influential proponents of refugee rights, Ms. Jolie will continue to work to build a more equal, just and inclusive international system. At a time when the world is facing complex, multi-faceted, and interconnected crises, she plans to engage with a wider range of actors on a broader set of humanitarian issues as well as work more directly with local organizations. Her portfolio will continue to include refugees and issues of forced displacement.
UNHCR has worked with Ms. Jolie since 2001, and in 2012, she was appointed Special Envoy. In this critical role, she has used her powerful voice to build awareness and support for refugees and to call for urgent action and solutions for people forced to flee. Over the past 21 years, Ms. Jolie has worked tirelessly, carrying out more than 60 field missions to bear witness to stories of suffering as well as hope and resilience. Most recently, she travelled with UNHCR to Yemen and Burkina Faso to meet displaced people enduring two of the most underfunded and under-reported emergencies in the world.
“Angelina Jolie has been an important humanitarian partner of UNHCR for very long. We are grateful for her decades of service, her commitment, and the difference she has made for refugees and people forced to flee. After a long and successful time with UNHCR, I appreciate her desire to shift her engagement and support her decision. I know the refugee cause will remain close to her heart, and I am certain she will bring the same passion and attention to a wider humanitarian portfolio. I look forward to our continued friendship,” said UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi.
Ms. Jolie said: “I am grateful for the privilege and opportunity I have had to work with so many outstanding and dedicated UNHCR field officers and other colleagues doing lifesaving work globally, and to serve as Special Envoy. I will continue to do everything in my power in the years to come to support refugees and other displaced people. After 20 years working within the UN system I feel it is time for me to work differently, engaging directly with refugees and local organisations, and supporting their advocacy for solutions”.
20 YEARS FOR THE UN. AND WORLD POVERTY IS ‘SUPPOSED TO’ BE SOLVED BY 2030. HOW IS IT GOING, UN? GETTING CLOSE?
THANK YOU, ANGELINA ❤️
