Mooki loves the world

I have written a children’s book series about a cat from another world, Mooki.

Mooki loves the world:
An introduction

In these simple stories about the Sustainable Development Goals, we meet the adventurous and curious cat Mooki. She comes from another world and looks with new eyes. She observes our beautiful world and feels happy. But then, with a closer look, she can see that not all is good in the world.

In every story for each of the goals, a problem in the world is shown in a simplified manner. Then the reader is provided some questions that invite to further thinking. In the end the reader is reassured that people come together and find solutions to the sustainability goals.
The stories are filled with reassuring repetition, quirky situations and questions, funny drawings and a sea of colour.

The text is presented in Norwegian (any first language/mother tongue) and English at the same time. This leads to early maturation of English for our youngest readers.

All the goals are introduced in these stories about Mooki and a boy and a girl in different life situations. Our youngest readers get an early introduction to the biggest challenges in the world today.

Happy reading!

I am also known as Mooki – Chief Mooki in some circles ;)

I design whimsical cats and beautiful princesses, one-of-a-kind glass jewellery and glass stones. I create powerful queens using a technique called silk painting, and when I design on paper, I use permanent markers, water colors for kids, and Crayola markers. In all I do, I wish to instill joy and awe in the viewer.
